PHILIPPINE Volleyball Federation chair Pedro Mendoza Jr., passed away last Thursday due to heart failure, the PVF announced yesterday. He was 71.

In deference to his death, the PVF has decided to postpone announcing the final results of the tryouts for men’s and women’s teams which underwent weeks of selection the past month. The results will be out Wednesday.FEATURED STORIES

A list supposedly selected for the PH teams came out via Twitter.  But Camangian immediately dispelled the list as hoax and said the lineup will be deliberated upon by the national coaches, PVF and the sponsoring PLDT.

“Nothing final,” said Camangian yesterday.
